  • A single vertical shaft drives the mixing paddles (or ribbon variant) in a spiral or lifting/folding motion.
  • Material is drawn upward along the wall, then allowed to cascade downward by gravity, creating a multidimensional counterflow that enhances homogeneity.
  • Because there’s no aggressive shear or high-speed blades, this configuration is ideal for delicate powders.
  • Optionally, a high-speed chopper may be added to handle lumped material or assist when adding liquids.
  • Discharge is via a flush-fitting plug valve, often mounted at the conical bottom section.
